The SleepSense Infant Thermal Flow Sensor is a miniature, nasal flow only, thermocouple sensor (# 1400) especially designed for the respiration flow sensing for infants and preemies. Applied on the forehead, the thermocouple elements produce a strong and clear signal.

The SleepSense Infant Thermal Flow Sensor makes use of heat-sensitive elements to generate a signal in response to temperature changes. Due to the small size of the wires, a good signal can even be produced by a weaker flow. The output may be connected to any AC (low level) channel on the recorder.

The infant flow sensor is placed on the infant's bridge of the nose, with the protruding part folded so the sensor elements are located under the nostrils.

SleepSense Infant Thermal Flow Sensor Specifications

Sensor: Three miniature thermocouple elements.
System Connector: 1.5 mm DIN safety connectors.
Recommended Filter Settings:
- High Pass: 0.1 Hz.
- Low Pass: 70 Hz.
Intended for System: Any system that accepts DIN safety connectors.
Operating Conditions: 40 to 104 °F.
Storage Temperature: -4 to 140 & 176 °F.
Operating and Storage Humidity: 5 to 95% (non-condensing).

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:

Machine wash separately in cold water on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry separately on low heat. Add QE Home Wool Dryer Balls to reduce wrinkles and increases drying efficiency. Touch up with a low heat iron as needed. Do not bleach or dry clean.
