UMG Dental GREEN Film 100 Sheets Size 5 x 12in.
Single emulsion film, meaning there is emulsion on only one side of the film. The non-emulsion or dark side of the film is a backing or pelloid that prevents light from passing back through the film, eliminating potential blur and creating a sharper image. The non-emulsion backing is a forest green color to differentiate it from the emulsion side, which is salmon pink.
Features and Benefits: Radiographs to be must be placed in direct contact with the emulsion or light side (salmon pink) of the duplicating film. Individual sheets of duplicating film are triple-notched in the upper right hand corner when the film is viewed lengthwise and the non-emulsion side (forest green) is facing the operator.
Procedural steps for film duplication:
1. Evaluate film density of the radiograph
2. Under safelight, place radiograph on light source of duplicator with the convex dot toward the light source (Pano film can be turned either way)
3. Set the exposure time
4. Place film with the emulsion side against the radiographs. The notch should be on the top right corner
5. Close the lid and fasten
6. Press exposure button
7. Remove film and process
8. Evaluate and repeat if necessary
9. Label with patient's name, date, and chart number
10. Record in patients’ chart

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:
Machine wash separately in cold water on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry separately on low heat. Add QE Home Wool Dryer Balls to reduce wrinkles and increases drying efficiency. Touch up with a low heat iron as needed. Do not bleach or dry clean.
