These Swiss-made, high-precision durable files by Glardon® Vallorbe are manufactured from chrome alloy steel and heat treated by a special process to guarantee sharper teeth for outstanding cutting performance on all hard and soft metals, including platinum. Half-round files are tapered in width and thickness, and they come to a rounded point on the tip. Cut on both sides. Escapement file lengths are measured from tip to the end of the cut and measurements do not include the tang.

Cut Length; Width x Thickness: 55 mm/2.2"; 4.6 mm x 1.6 mm.

The coarser the file the more metal is removed. Files are graded as below:

• Cut 00 - Very coarse
• Cut 0 - Coarse
• Cut 1 - Coarse/Medium
• Cut 2 - Medium
• Cut 3 - Medium/Fine
• Cut 4 - Fine
• Cut 6 - Extra Fine
