Usage:Â
A flat Williams probe is a dental instrument used to measure the depth of periodontal pockets, which are the spaces between the teeth and gums. It is a double-ended instrument, with one end featuring millimeter markings (usually from 1 to 10) and the other end having a ball tip.
Here are some of the key features of flat Williams probes:
- Flat design: The flat blade can easily slide into periodontal pockets, allowing for accurate measurement of their depth.
- Color-coded markings: The millimeter markings are often color-coded for easy reference. For example, the markings might be red for depths greater than 3mm, indicating potential gum disease.
- Double-ended: The ball tip on the other end can be used to check for furcation involvements, which are areas where the roots of a tooth divide.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:
Machine wash separately in cold water on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry separately on low heat. Add QE Home Wool Dryer Balls to reduce wrinkles and increases drying efficiency. Touch up with a low heat iron as needed. Do not bleach or dry clean.
