Adjustable components allow quick placement of individual digits into proper 90 degree line of pull. Use for fabrication of dynamic splints. Indications: Post radial nerve injuries and post MCP arthroplasty, fixed bony contractures, or unstable fracture conditions. The preformed outrigger wire frame follows the arch of the hand and can be attached to the thermoplastic splint base (not included). Two outrigger frames are included and can be fitted to any size hand. The adjuster piece mounts onto the outrigger frame to hold the extension rod. Joint position is adjusted by rotating the adjuster piece and extension rod alignment. Each extension rod can be shortened or lengthened to accommodate different fingers and joints. Rod ends act as line guides so each respective finger loop holds the digit in correct alignment. Thermoplastic and straps sold separately. Additional replacement parts also are available.
